Misha Vasilchikov

Founder & Managing Partner

Mr. Vasilchikov is the Founder and Managing Partner of MVV Capital Partners, where he leads the firm’s strategy, investor relationships, and execution across private capital transactions. He focuses on originating and raising equity and debt capital for private companies, structuring fund and co-investment opportunities, and helping business owners achieve liquidity through strategic exits.

Since beginning his career in 2008 during the global financial crisis, Mr. Vasilchikov has advised companies and investors through multiple market cycles, raising over $300 million of equity and debt capital on behalf of private companies and investment funds across industries including aerospace & defense, consumer goods, food & beverage, manufacturing, technology, and sports. He is an Ambassador for TIGER21 and also serves as an Advisor to Sportsology Capital Partners and Una Equity Partners.

Mr. Vasilchikov holds a BS in Economics and Finance with a minor in Computer Science from St. Francis College. A former Division I water polo athlete, he represented the New York Athletic Club in national and international competitions.

Jonas Schaefer

Managing Director

Mr. Schaefer serves as a Managing Director at MVV Capital Partners, where he focuses on raising capital for fund investments and co-investment opportunities across private markets. His mandate includes expanding the firm’s family office and institutional investor relationships, sourcing differentiated private equity opportunities, and broadening MVV’s distribution platform.

Prior to joining MVV Capital Partners, Mr. Schaefer founded Corinth Capital Partners in 2016, building a boutique private equity fund-of-funds platform that provided individual investors with access to leading alternative managers. He began his career with Diamond Edge Capital Partners in New York City, where he worked with established alternative asset managers on institutional capital raises for pension funds and endowments.

Mr. Schaefer holds a Series 63 designation, an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University, and a BA in Dramatic Art from UC Davis. He is conversant in French. Outside of work, he enjoys dining al fresco in the Bay Area and spending time outdoors with his wife and young daughter.

Alexander Szikla

Director of Capital Markets, Real Estate

Mr. Szikla previously worked with Meridian Capital’s Healthcare Group, raising around $3 billion in debt and equity placements, and advising owners, operators, and developers of healthcare facilities. Before that, he was Head of Acquisitions at Newcastle Realty Services, where he led growth and expanded the firm into multifamily and student housing sectors. He also co-founded Plato Student Platform, overseeing $50 million in acquisitions and improving property values through strategic enhancements.

Mr. Szikla began his career at FBR Capital Markets & Co., participating in over $5 billion of transactions, including IPOs and M&A in Real Estate, Healthcare, and Equity-Linked Capital Markets.

He holds a degree in Finance and International Management from McGill University and a Master’s in Real Estate Development from New York University. He is active in the UJA’s Real Estate Executives (REX) NEXT committee and chairs the Affinity Groups at the Jewish National Fund – USA’s Futures Board.

Jeff Encalada

Associate

Jeff joined MVV Capital Partners as an analyst after completing several internships with the firm and was subsequently promoted to Associate. In his role, Jeff focuses on business development efforts and supports the firm’s senior bankers in various aspects of deal origination, capital introductions, and execution.

Before joining MVV Capital Partners, Jeff completed buy-side M&A internships at Hempstead Partners and Cuesta Legacy, where he worked closely with managing partners on sourcing and evaluating potential acquisition targets in small to medium-sized businesses across the SaaS, Business Services, and Consumer sectors in the southern region of the United States.

Jeff holds a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in financial management and capital markets, as well as a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University, graduating cum laude.
